Turn your Instagram saves into a library you'll actually open

Instagram's saves folder is a wall of thumbnails sorted only by date. You can't search it. You can't see what's inside each video without opening it. You give up and save the same video three times. Sftir is how a saves folder should work.

How sftir helps

Every save gets context

Title, creator, summary, topic tags — so you know what's inside each saved Reel without opening it. Instagram shows you a thumbnail. Sftir shows you what the video actually says.

Collections that aren't just folders

Build collections by topic — 'Dinner ideas,' 'Marketing hooks,' 'Home fixes.' Collections are searchable, shareable, and don't impose a rigid folder hierarchy.

Automatic topic grouping

Sftir recognizes what a Reel is about and tags it. Your cooking Reels group themselves. Your workout Reels group themselves. No manual curation required.

How it works

1

Save Reels into Sftir

iOS share sheet, Chrome extension, or paste URL. Each save gets pulled in and processed.

2

AI adds the context Instagram doesn't

Transcripts, summaries, tags. The scaffolding that makes a library actually browsable.

3

Browse by collection, search by phrase, share by link

Open Sftir, pick a collection, or just search the whole library. Share a collection with a public link when it's useful to others.

For the home renovator

Sarah is redoing her kitchen and saves Instagram Reels on cabinet hardware, tile patterns, paint colors — dozens a week. In Sftir, those saves organize themselves into topic collections. When she's at the hardware store, she searches 'matte black cabinet pull' and has five reference Reels right there.

Frequently asked questions

Does Sftir import my existing Instagram saves?

Not automatically — Instagram doesn't expose the full saves list via API. You save going forward (and you can re-save old ones you care about). Most people find the forward-looking library more useful anyway.

What happens if Instagram deletes a Reel I saved?

The transcript and summary stay in your library. The link back to the original would 404 if the Reel is gone. Sftir preserves the content even when the platform doesn't.

How many collections can I make?

Free tier: 3 collections. Pro and above: unlimited. Collections are how most people structure their libraries, so unlimited is the point at which it clicks.

Can I make a collection public?

Yes — any collection can have a shareable public link. Recipients see the videos, summaries, and transcripts. Great for sharing research with a team or a recipe list with a friend.
